Do you have the look?

I like watching “American Next Top Model”, it gives me a sight of what really modeling is about, plus all those bitchiness they have in a reality show. It also explains what are the things that you need to know as a model, most importantly it looks real to me. If I’m 5′8″ and have sharp features with the right figure, maybe I would go for it.

Look at our local girl Amber Chia, she is from Sabah and yet made it to the modeling world, must be earning big bucks. However nothing comes easily and I’m sure she needs to work, learn and relearn new things everyday.

Another show that I love to watch is “Kimora: life in the fab lane”. Yes, this is one working mom cum model cum owner of jewelery stores! Seeing how she lives and how funny she can be is fun to me. I’m not sure, maybe part of the show is made up, but I’m seeing it as an entertainment rather than an educational documentary. I’m a mother myself, so sometimes I dream that I can be that glamorous and living a life that I can almost have it all.

For those of you who doesn’t mind having your look being judged and wanted to step into the modeling world, you can join Look of the year, which is now looking for people around the world to submit their best pictures. As long as you are young, beautiful and who would like to be a model, I don’t see why you should loose the chance to get spotted and maybe able to work in a renounce modeling agency. It looks like a beuty contest though, I hope they are looking for brains and beauty.

The book of death?

What if really there is a book that let you write names in there and it will then kill that person? It is eerie to think that if that book has fallen into the hand of a person!

I mean I do believe that there is a "book of life" which God is holding, but what if it is the opposite? The book of death? And it has fallen into the devil’s hand? Just like what happened in DeathNote . Whoever got this book can come face to face with the devil name Ryuk, write whoever’s real name there and in certain time that person will die of heart attached if the caused of death is not written. If however that person decided to hand back the note again, his or her memory about the DeathNote will vanished.

Unknown Ace studen Light Yagami got the Death Note and have been taking the law into his own hands by deciding who should die, especially those gansters that let loose without hard evidence, but things soon get out of hand and Light got obsessed with it.

To me, Ryuk actually looks cool with the punk style *LOL* Before I seen the movie, I actually thought that it is a scary movie, but hey, it turns out that I keep on cracking my head trying to figure how it is going to end!

For those in the U.S, it is coming to a theatre near you for 2 days only, i.e. 20 and 21 May. You can also find the list of theatres which participate and book the ticket online, book early to avoid dissapointment.

All about skin

One of my love for going for facial is that I can rest and have my skin pampered. It is considered as one of my “me time”, that I can let go of my boys with babysitter and recharge myself.  I remember going for facial and hearing another customer snore!! And later found out that the customer actually is a regular client of theirs and is a man. It seems like not just us women having skin problem, or who knows how to pampered ourselves, men too. I’ve actually been encouraging my brother to have a go in facial and I bet he’s going to love it, but surely he will be a loud snor

Talking about skin, I do have skin problem before I got married. Mine was oily and acne prone. There was even a period that I’ve got all these big yellow pimples on my chin and I had to see the skin doctor, got myself some prescription to dry out the acne. I wish I knew of other alternative to solve that problem during that time, because taking medication is not really a good solution as it affect my whole body skin condition. Due to that, I’m now having dryer skin which do solved the problem of acne, but it also means I need to have moisturiser handy if I’m in air-con room.

When I choose my beauty product from pharmacist, I would make sure that they don’t have mineral oils, hamful alcohols, and harsh soaps. All of these will actually make the skin condition even worst. There are some other things to avoid as well, such as Parabens (which are cancer causing) and Benzoyl Peroxide which is really harmful to our skin.

I’m sure we all can find all natural ingredient products in the market that we can use. There is one alternative here is this natural acne treatment product which uses all natural ingredients to clense, exfoliate, repair, renew, revitalize, moisturise, supplement and nourish your skin. Sounds impossible for me that it can do all of the above at the same time, but they comes with testimonies and money back guarantee.
Check it out.

They are 100% audit-able in post disclosure, transparent which uses real opinions from bloggers and most importantly it is search engine friendly. All of these will help both the users and advertisers in getting their products reviewed by real people which they can trust, readers will get genuine opinion in certain subject area.
Bloggers can also write about other bloggers in area that they love to talk about, this is what we call a spark! To create awareness of bloggers’ site.

What I like is that I can choose whatever subjects that I love to talk about and do the review instead of being assigned blindly. The posting are very straight forward too, you’ll get clear instructions on what to mentioned in the post and the time frame to finish the assignment.

Stroll in the city

Phew.. what a tiring day out in CPS this morning, with not just 2 kids but 4!! I can rule the girl out ‘cos she has been the most quiet one and probably ‘cos she is the eldest among the 4. The noisy one? There are two actually, that 2 who are in the same age. Goodness, they talked non-stop, in a high pitch voice, running like wild horses, totally treat the shopping mall as their home! Big sis said she would have given up long ago if it is not because I was there, seeing that I could be so calm and cool about it.

well, no point in shouting at them in a public place, it will only create curiosity eyes/stares and embarrassmyself. If they want to purposely fall down after running, just let them, if they wanted to pretend that they are Spiderman, well, just let them, as long as they are not breaking anything in store including their own bones.

What I did manage to do is getting a pair of shoes for little Cal, Hash Puppies after 50% discount! Now that is really a good bargain and I’ve let him tried almost all the shoes in store (those offer one la..) just so that he can find one that he like and I just love getting it especially knowing that it is 50% discount. *wink*

After the main mission has been accomplished, the 2nd one coming up is to get them well fed during their lunch. That is done after a bribe of soft-drinks  :oP

Other than that they had a good time riding on pony/doggy/whatever that was in Palm Square.

Followup with McD ice-cream, but too bad the ice-cream melted too fast.

Going home, little Mer was flat in his car seat, slept all the way till home. I wish he can continue sleeping so that I can have some quiet time. Oh well.. life isn’t always perfect anyway.

Food oh food

Problem of loading photos from my digicam is solved! Yay! The worried is just being caused by a program in the notebook which I’ve uninstalled and the error/virus notice never show again. So here.. got lots to show but just let me show you some that I took while enjoying our food.

It seems that one of the reason that we go out is to get our food, be it lunch or dinner. That is one good reason to get my dad on his feet, get change and go out, even if I have to carry little Mer on my shoulder if he sleeps.

We went out to Ajisen Ramen (also in Malaysia) to have our lunch on Sunday (27 Aril). It is famous for its noodle with thick pork ribs soup, high in protein, yummy.. When dad’s big bowl of noodle came, he posed for a happy photo.

Yummy ramen

Dad with is bowl of ramen

The boys even happier when they get to have their ice-cream on our way back. So happy that they don’t mind sharing with each other!

As for Monday (28 April), we went to Little Sheep (小肥羊) that night. It is famous for its steamboat and lamb from Mongolia which being sliced into thin strip. Yup, got, ourselves a ying yong pot full of soup. Ying yong means one is hot (chili hot) and the other is normal soup. It is really super hot! Both are full of garlic!

Ying Yong pot soup base

Raw lamb slices

And just yesterday, we went to Kung Fu for our set lunch. Everything is being steamed, what we call “tun”, steaming but with close individual lit for the food inside. With RMB17 for kids meal, we get a bowl of rice, a bowl of steam egg, chicken with mushroom and a cup of soya bean. Worth the price especially if the boys love it and they share the portion.

Little Mer gave his thumb up for the steam egg

That’s all so far for my food opportunity all with the two boys around. I hope they’ll sit down properly and finished their food everytime insead of me spoon feeding them sometimes just to make sure that they eat.

scrapping for a cause

This post suppose to be posted on Friday but I just can’t get it ready by then, so here goes..

I’ve just read about Val’s story on her son Byrant who was born with severe brain injury and maybe due by the negligence of the obsterician. You can read about it here from Malay Mail. I was so sad to read about the news then and feel that Val is just so strong to be in that situation as a mother. I wish things can be better for her and Bryant. Val then started to journal everything about Byrant and then started her own scrapping store - the birth of Scrap-n-Crop. You can read about their story here.

I don’t think I can be as brave and as strong as Val. I admire her courage and her strong will. I wish her all the best and hope that her venture in scrapbooking is helping others to keep their memory alive.

Stay connected

This post is actually one of the 1.2 million new blog posts today. Because according to one of the report I read over the net: ”Technorati tracks about 1.2 Million new blog posts each day, about 50,000 per hour” (by Sifry Alerts) and we will be seeing more and more new weblog everyday, because “On average, a new weblog is created every second of every day” (Sifry Alerts)

Wow, didn’t realised this after I did a search on this topic. So, we are all really using technology to get connected others. I think most people are just like me started off as having a personal journal by blogging and then change their mind along the way and venture into other areas that the net is proving now (such as earning while blogging).

There are also many websites out there which offer services such as chat room for meeting new friends such as to join 3gb community www.3gb.biz which also offer MP3 songs. I won’t be enjoying this in the work place because we are really having a slow connection, maybe I can only do that over weekend in my in-law’s home. However it is also not my priority to get into chat room when I’m free, I would probably be reading my scarpbook magazine if I’ve some time away from taking care of my boys.
