Back to work after that long holiday

Back to work on the first day after the National Day holiday and yet being greeted by internet down time in our area. *sign* Not a good day to start huh!? Plus little Mer was having seperateion anxiety after enjoying his two weeks away from school, so he took his whole heart out to show how much he needed me there. I told the teacher, “He’s so real, with tears some more.” Anyway, he was alright after I left, I’m sure of that, ‘cos when I fetch him just now, he nodded his head agreeing to go to school tomorrow. I bet he’s going to cry again tomorrow, he’ll need another day to really confirm that he can’t change the situation even after crying *grin*.

On board on Saturday and was greeted by the colourful seats that MAS is having. It wasn’t really one big happy on board memory, but at least it wasn’t that bad, little Mer got to sleep after his meal. The boys actually had adult meal instead of the kids meal ‘cos to me I prefer that way as the kids meal seems to have more junk food than real nutritious meal. Anyway, meal on board is never that tasty anyway, but Mer finished off his fish and Cal’s potatoes!

MAS colorful seats

The boys must have miss their father and in lacking of a father figure, they won’t mind to follow their uncle John, Yup, John is back from Brunei, giving up his job over there and start all over again. So maybe the dream of building the house can be materialist this time, still it all depends on his financial situation.

Here is 2 pictures taken earlier before we leave China, don’t they look like the stacked up panda?

Happy September!

This morning

Yogurt time!

The boys love yogurt, they would of course prefer it to be cold, but since they are coughing and got a bit of flu, I had to let the yogurt cool or warm a bit then give to them.

A minute later, this is what on the floor, a work of art maybe?

Work of art?

What happened was Mer accidentally drop the spoon. I actually like looking at how the yogurt dots on the floor.

He looks like this after the yogurt time, messy of course!
After yogurt time
What come next was Mer did the washing up himself but of course it involved playing with the tap and filling up the wash basin.

Mommy little helper?

Once I told him that I’m taking his photo, he doesn’t hesitate at all to give me a big smile! After some time, he was still there and it turns out that he has wet his shirt and pants!
One big smile

Look at that, giving me a side kick when I wanted to snap his wet shirt and pants!

As for Cal, he is cool, just sat there having his yogurt while watching cartoon.

Cool cal

I was actually having fun using photobucket’s border function in editing these photos *grin*

Alright, time to have lunch!

Night out

We went out for dinner in a Japanese restaurant with 15 minutes taxi ride away - “Zhong Shen Ming Cai”. It is situated on the 5th floor of “Hai An Cheng” which is a major shopping mall selling all the branded goods.

The restaurant setting is beautiful with a huge chandelier on the entrance stairway. It uses lots of crystals and red embellishment, string together with transparent nylon. There were some “cubicle” sort of room but they are in round shape. Then there were this huge tree at the end of the restaurant with lights which changes color from blue, green to red.

We’ve order one noodle soup, one fried rice, one fried squid, one sushi platter, one slice of code fish and it cost us RMB311. I like the noodle and the fried rice. I saw the next table were enjoying their steam boat or hot pot.

Me and Mer

Behind us is the tree full of light bulbs that changes color, it feels like winter when it is blue and autumn when it is red.

Mer were busy digging his fried rice which turn out that he doesn’t really like it. Not even the cod fish!

So the two boys actually didn’t eat much during dinner, so me and hubby had to eat all the food. I went home with a really full stomach last night.

Hubby and Cal

Hubby and Cal

Here, hubby is looking so serious, probably worrying on how to finish off the food later.

When came paying time, then only hubby realized that he forgot to bring his credit card with him, fortunately he got enough cash to pay for the food and still got some left to buy some groceries later. We were than being given some receipts which the government is having some lucky draw to be given away. Unfortunately we didn’t get any price, probably there is only a small percentage with the lucky number anyway.

After that we went for a walk in the mall and checked the photo printer, the slim Macbook, at the mean time, the boy enjoyed some snapshots of Wall-E on one of the flat screen. Got the boys some tracks for Thomas & Friends from Jusco. To This I think hubby and I are more excited in seeing those tracks rather than our boys. This is more like catching up with things that we couldn’t enjoy while we were kids. Basically Thomas & Friends tracks are for adults to enjoy with those assembling to do. I bet the boys will just love it while it is still “hot”, later they’ll forget all about it till we buy another new track.

After that was groceries time, but it was getting late and we don’t want to miss out 9:30 Chinese series, so me and the boys had some drinks while hubby went off to buy some groceries. The boy had fun or rather arguing over the drinks that they are suppose to share.

That’s about it for our night out with the boys for our dinner, if anyone is interesting in loosing weight, do check out this product call Alli which has recently been approved by FDA to sell over the counter, it is a weight-loss drug.

Being here

There are things that happen everyday over here and I’m really fed up with them, one is the boys are still fighting with each other and another one is Mer kept on asking me to read the same book over and over again! As for Cal, he always have this new idea of doing things and explore almost everything in the house, including moving the refill bottle of water which suppose to be very heavy for him!

The other thing that I don’t quite enjoy is cooking. Well, I love food, but I just don’t know to enjoy it now when I’m not familiar with the ingredients over here and where to find them. Another thing is I’m lacking of utensil over here. Oh well, probably this is a good way in loosing weight, since I’m occupied with the boys which I have to keep an eye on them every minute. As for food, mom’s cooking is still the best and I eat more at home, so I don’t think I need diet pills over here to loose weight at all!

I miss home and yet love to be here with my hubby .. 0_o

China, here we come!

I’m officially entering mainland China yesterday with my family. I got a 2 times VISA till November, so maybe I’m going to come back again before November, else will just let it be.

We travel from my sister’s place taking the train then bus over to the custom immigration station entering mainland China, then just walked past the immigration with our passports and took a taxi here. Fortunately there wasn’t a lot of people during noon time. So getting through the immigration was a bliss. The officer even mistaken Mer as Cal *LOL* cos we past up the wrong form for him and he didn’t even ask if that is little Mer or Cal.

We went to Ajisen to have our early dinner at 6pm. It is a must go place for me. I just love their pork ribs soup that is creamy and tasty. Can’t find it in Malaysia. The one in Malaysia is a halal shop, so no pork ribs soup is allow. Half way waiting, we got a sleepy head telling us that he is sleepy, so me and hubby was makign some noice ‘cos we have been telling them to get some sleep before we all went out. However, no matter how we want him to stay awake, he falled asleep in less than 2 minutes! All the way till we got home, then only little Mer woke up.

Yesterday was the closing ceremony of the Olympic game. It wasn’t as grand as the opening ceremony but I can see that all the athelete are carefree now that they’ve done with their race. Well, in another 4 years time, the whole world is going to meet again in London, till then I hope I have the chance to visit London again.

Flying with Nuri

This was the first time I used the fully open new Kota KInabalu International Airport. It is kind of like a mini KLIA. All facilities are new but the check-in counter number only shown on the TV screen on top of the counter. Toilet is still clean but definitely wet, which I hate! Unlike Hong Kong International Airport, I always see cleaning ladies in the toilet, wiping the floor dry and refilling tissue, even the wash basin also dry! I really salute them.

We had a bumpy ride and has been warned that there might have strong wind in Hong Kong in the afternoon. Thanks to my sinus medicine and pump, I had no headache at all, thus I had a smooth ride on board.

The boys were being goodie-goodie this time, didn’t walk around the aisle, finished off their food, especially little Mer. He finished his fish with potatoes and carrot till his pack is shinning clean!

After that was nap time for all. The plane wasn’t totally full, thus there are still some empty seats that I can let Mer all stretch out when he sleep. So I’ve found him two empty seats to lay him down, without know that I’ve actually did something against the safety rule on board. No on say anything during the nap time, not even the stewardess who passed by Mer several times. When we almost landing, then only the stewardess told me children are not allow to sit there, but he was sleeping! *Grin* So I had to move him back and let him laid beside me, at that point, Cal has already woke up.

Initially I was worried that there will be Typhoon signal 3 in Hong Kong, thank God that we have clear sky with no wind and rain when we touched down. It is hot though.

Last night we had been warned that there might have even stronger wind today and the authority has given out signal 8 warning from 5am this morning. According to the weather broadcast, Typhoon Nuri is visiting Hong Kong or maybe passing by, but it will definitely hit Hong Kong. No shop will be open when signal 8 is up, street should be clear of people and all flights are being cancelled for today.

Hubby is already up to Shenzhen. Don’t think he would be able to come here again tonight with Typhoon Nuri still around.

If anyone would like to do any purchase at the moment, it will just only be online purchasing activity, and maybe authorize.net could come into help. *wink*

Bike accident

The boys are still eager to ride on their bike. Little Mer still ask if he can ride his bike early in the morning!

I was actually teasing him that he and Cal had a road accident and need an adjuster to solve their case together with the traffic police. Surely he doesn’t understand what I mean by adjuster but he knows what is a policeman. When I ask if it is okay to let the police take Cal away since he was the one who bumped into his bike, he was strongly against it. I was so glad to hear that. At least it let me know that eventhough they have been fighting most of the time, he still prefer his brother around. I guess it is really natural that “blood thicker than water” huh!?

I bet he’ll ask me not to park my car in the front area again later. Talking about accident, well, if you wanted to compare auto insurance quotes, do check it out here.

New sets of wheels

Yup, that’s what the boys get, a new set of wheels for each of them. Cal get a new bike as the old one is too short for him. As for little Mer, he really did get a new set of wheels, only the wheels as the old one has broken.

Mer with his broken wheel

It happened like this, Cal got his new bike on Saturday after getting him to tried it out in the shop. I was looking for even higher one, but he is not that tall yet, so he is getting one that is just nice for him and have room to improve. At the same time, I’ve got a new pair of spare wheels for Mer, for he doesn’t know how to ride on a bike yet, so he needs the supporting wheels.

Cal's new bike

Two of them were having so much fun riding, chasing each other, but little Cal bumped into Mer’s bike and break the wheel! Well, Mer’s bike is actually an old one from Cal, so he has been left there for some times and the plastic wheels has harden, so it broke!

I had to get him new one else he won’t have any bike to ride on, and it was dreadful for him. I got them changed to a new sets of wheel plus the hand-brake handle changed. Mer is absolutely loving his “new” bike now. The first thing he asked in the morning was if he can ride on them *LOL* He even instructed me to park my car outside, so that he can use the front porch to ride his bike! No one can park there, even big Yi-Yi also have to give way *LOL*

The boys not only getting new wheels, they also got new hair-cut! Since Cal cut or chop off his hair in front and looks like a “hole” infront, I brought him for a hair-cut which really shorten his hair. Both of them looks like monk now *LOL* I must said Mer got a rounder head and he looks nicer with bold head. As for Cal, his head shape is flatter, so he looks a bit odd. Well, have to wait till it gets longer.
When I got my camera out on Sunday night, Cal wanted to take photos with me, so this is how it turns out:
3 of us
I must say he likes to make funny faces in front of the camera.

Five years ago today I gave birth to a healthy boy, weighted 3.6kg! Today he is officially five! Goodness, where have all the time goes? I still remember clearly holding him, seeing him the first time, seeing his birthmark and thinking that why there is a pieace of stool on his knee *LOL*. Waiting patiently for his first stool before discharging myself from the general hospital. I spent a night in the hospital sharing the same bed with my little one, and being a first time mom, I was so afraid to fall asleep just in case he needed anything!

After that was history full of adventures, surprises and most of the time disciplining him to be a good little boy. Happy Birthday Cal! Mommy got a cake for you tonight!

You may have gotten lots of unique baby gifts during your celebration when you were one-month-old, but the only thing that is still visible everyday now is the car seat given by mommy’s friends from church. But you yourself is my precious gift from the Father above. Happy 5th Birthday my dear!
