The cool dude

I mean little Mer.

We woke up with stream of water running down from our road and puddle of water in front of the house. The next thing was Mer put on his water boots and ran out with Cal to check on the drain beside the road. I kept on yelling at them to come back in or at least be-careful for not falling into the drain! I was doing my morning chores then.

The next thing I found this:

Yes, he is enjoying his time of the day by just running around on the puddle of water, so I quickly get ready some warm water and showered him.

That was on Saturday. When Sunday came, I brought them for hair-cut after church. This little guy got my sun-glasses and tried to have some silly gesture with it after he has a new hair style. This time I didn’t let him have an almost-bold-head as we’ll be heading to China in December and it is getting cold over there.

Then came Sunday night, I’ve to leave them with my in-laws so that I can enjoy some precious gathering time with some friends. One came back from Canada with family, a beautiful family she has with three really adorable kids. Aunty J and family were there too.

That was also my first time after so long that I was out with friends for dinner, gosh! I’ve missed so much, didn’t realize Christmas deco are all up and it is almost time for thanksgiving! Though we don’t celebrate it over here, but I’ve got tons of online friends who are celebrating it. In fact I’ve sent out a thanksgiving card just for fun, to a friend who are staying in the US.

Lots of catching to do last night after more than 5 years that we didn’t see each other, no it is already 9 or 10 years! Canada is a far away place which I haven’t visited yet, it is in my to do list. *wink*.

Oh and I’ve met another friend who happened to be there at the same time, she also came back awhile ago from UK. She, also having beautiful kids.

We were all in Fish & Co., Warisan Square. Ordered fish and chips, maybe I’ve been busy talking and thus I didn’t manage to finished my big plate of food. I know there are still plenty of room there, but just want to watch out for having a heavy stomach as my bed time was near, also don’t want to link myself up with any alli weight loss program *LOL*.

What they did with my cam

This morning my boys got my digital camera and fiddle around with it, they took each other’s photos! I was so worried that they might just drop it.

This is what turns out:
Mer
Taken by Cal, I was holding the blanket behind Mer while Cal took a snap of his little brother Mer. Look at him, so cheeky.

Cal

As for this, is taken by Mer, buoy, Cal looks so big here. Where have all the time gone!?

Yup, they definitely got a bit of talent and skill in this, but fortunately the camera is set with red eye flash, so it flashed twice and there are time for Mer to hold the camera still to take the photo.

Messy stuff

I think I’ve been talking too much about diet pill these days till I know what is Fenterdren! Let’s just get on without talking about diet. Let’s talk about being tidy.

I’m not really a very tidy person, if you ask me to clean up after my meal, do my laundry, washing up, I’m fine with them all, but if you want me to have a tidy work table all the time, well, I’ll have to say sorry. It just doesn’t look right to me if I’ve a completely neat table. This morning the office cleaner came into my room and they left with some of my stuff being stacked up with a clear table top. Less than a minute later I put them back wherever they were while I work. I just need to grab my things from where they suppose to be - from a mess.

I’m glad that I read in Ladies Home Journal that being not so tidy is actually let me be creative! Could you believe that? I do. I mean I can’t really work with my table all cleared up when I do my scrapbooking. I do clean them up once a while, but not too worry about making a mess after that. It just feel good to know that I’ve been working on that table and that’s the reason that it is messy. So don’t get surprise if you find my room is in a mess. *wink*

A day to remember

Yes, this is a day to remember. I’ve a special gathering with my two long lost friends. For 13 years we haven’t met since University time in Manchester. They knew each other there, one from Kuala Lumpur and the other from Sarawak, such a different and far places but they decided to stay together and now they are residing in Kuala Lumpur and have two beautiful kids.  One of them was in the same hall of resident with me on my 1st year, then became one of my house-mate in my 2nd year. Today three of us met again, 13 years apart but we still stay the same, not much changes especially on the waist line though he said I’ve lose weight. Well, 13 years, what do you expect, there must have some changes, right?

They came over and stay in Karambunai Nexus Resort, rented a car to have the convenient in going anywhere they like. Me and hubby brought them all the way to Tamparuli to have the ever so famous Tuaran fried noodle. Glad that they like it too.

Yes, there isn’t much changes for all of us, except we have some more wrinkles which is really a natural thing. As for the waist line, well, definitely no diet pills are involved, it is just the life style that slimming me down. I’m glad we have been able to catch up for all those lost years and hopefully will meet again in the future.

Si Pa Lui

I think all of us met this person before. They are the one who park on yellow boxes / restricted area, cornering which if you drive faster you’ll surely hit on their cars and those that who park so near to your car that you have to squeeze yourself in!

Ya, you know them, they are call “Si Pa Lui”, if they are Chinese, than their surename would be “Si”. Get what I mean? It is just so frustrated that I met these people at the same day at the same place.

Me and colleague went to Pete’s Corner to have our lunch. Hardly can find any parking over there, so we ended up in Asia City Complex which situated not far away. Get to the parking lot, drove in and went off to look for the lift. There we discovered the first Si Pa Lui who parked on the yellow box just outside of the entrance. If you are pushing a stroller, you’ll have problem passing by.

The 2nd Si Pa Lui that we discovered was when my colleague tried to get into my car, because the car beside us just parked so closed to mine. Thank God that my colleague is slim!

The 3rd Si Pa Lui is right there waiting for us right after the corner! Goodness! Why there are so many Si Pa Lui around? Can’t they just park further away in a proper parking lot instead of simply park their cars?!

Diet

Have you ever wonder how much does a diet pill cost? Or maybe you are more concern on its effect on your health, or whether it is effective?

Have been hearing lots about slimming program like loosing weight without exercise, cutting fat or calories by just consuming some diet product and body wrapping (whatever that means). It is a bit paranoid when comes to diet pill after hearing the news about a woman’s liver being damage due to diet pills that is not being approved by the health ministry.

To me, the most important thing is to eat healthily, have regular exercise (which I obviously didn’t follow) and being healthy mentally. I do believe that eating moderately is way better than starving. I also believe that if you stop worrying about every calorie that you take, you’ll have a happier life.

Yes, I know, I have too many blogs, but still I’ve added a new one with private domain. It seems like I’m abondoning the other one and hoping that this one will work its magic.

I’ll post mostly review on the new site - “Hannie daily muses” and still keeping this as it is, with the other one (The Daily) just about scrapbooking and craft.

Do check it out if you have time.

NO! It is mine!

“Mommy, I want to see what you’ve taken [with the camera].” Even when I’ve off the light and gone to bed.

“Mommy, I want to snap this [and that].” Even when there isn’t any time for him to do that.

“Let me see, let me see.” Whenever I’ve snap something, especially them.

Yes, these are the things that my boys want. I’m so worried each time they said they wanted to snap photos themselves with my digital camera!

“No, no, no!!” I would freak out when they said they wanted to hold my camera. It is over RM1k, okay? And that is the only camera that I have now.

I’ve used it extensively ever since hubby got it for me this year. I’ve taken over thousands of photos with it and have burned 3 CDs out from it. Even that the print-shop owner said my photos are in too low resolution and it won’t be good if I want to process them in large print. The reason I save them in 3Mega Pixel is that I’m worried that I might just used up all the memories in my memory card. Furthermore I seldom process them larger than a 4R, so they still look okay in my scrapbook pages.

Well, maybe I should get another 4GB compact flash just so I can have one backup. At the mean time, let me just hide my camera out of the sight of my two boys.

Just can’t get it

Yes, I just can’t understand how some people can let their kids stand in the middle of the car while they are driving! The kid is not with any safety belt or with children car seat!

I always reminded my boys about the commercial about the little girl who ended up blue-black after her dad hit on the brake while she was standing in the middle of the seats! Now little Mer always notice if there is anyone in the car who didn’t put on their seat-belt, his comment will sounds like:
“Mommy, they are so bad hor.. didn’t put on their seat-belt, later police catch them oh..”

Even to the car next to us! And he sounds so proud with his seat-belt on. I wish all Malaysian can afford car seat or at least put seat-belt on their kids. Read on what Patrick Teo said about this here. Really, I think we all should teach kids about road safety from even just a baby, put them on baby car seat!!

Red wine anyone?

I always think that when you are having a meal and you have wine together with it, it will enhance the taste of whatever that you are having. Bear in mind that you should mix white meat with white wine and red meat with red wine. Not sure where I learnt that, but it is true. Red wine does go well more with red meat such as beef or lamb. White wine is for poultry and fish.

There is this site that is offering more information about the wine that they have, check out wine of the month club, and I’m sure you’ll find lots of interesting information there.

Remember, a little wine a day also good for your health. Happy weekend!
