6th year

Today is our 6th year together as husband as wife, yes, the 6th anniversary. Happy anniversary dear.

The wish is to spend it together but then it wasn’t possible, not even online. This post came in a day late and I’ve set it to post up a day earlier on 26th itself, so that I remember.

Due to hubby, I can travel to places that I never thought of in going, the furthest is Sri Lanka and that is one that is least expected. The frequent ones are Hong Kong and China. The nearest ones are Lahad Datu and Tawau. The one with me having little Cal is Penang. Yes, those are all those places that he has worked before and now he is in China.

Sri Lanka is one that with lots of uncertainty especially with an unstable situation, having bomb scared, Tsunami visits and also those monkeys that live by the quarters. Having the confusion of talking to the Ceylonese for they said yes by swinging their head side-by-side which could be understood as “no” over here. I had the chance to tailor made 2 Saree’s tops in Colombo, and I had enjoyed those time over in Trincomalee and also learnt that if your honk is not working, you won’t be able to sell off your car! *LOL*

Yup, happy 6th anniversary and many more to come!

Have you ever..

You know how sometimes when you go into a shopping mall, say Giant and wanted to:

1. get things fast,

2. pay for it and

3. get out of there

Unfortunately there were lots of people all of them in trolleys of things! The worst is when those barcode scanners some how just doesn’t read the things that you’ve chosen? Frustrating huh!? Then there came those sales person who tried to promote Giant City Bank credit card! You just feel like kicking their butt huh!?

Well, fortunately I didn’t have those happened on me for item 1 to 3. But I do have those promoter keep on asking if I wanted a piece of what they are offering. No thank you! I just don’t want another credit card. Yes, the offer is pretty good, no annual fees, some percentage of rebate on things that you buy from Giant and petrol stations if you use their card. But I just don’t feel like having one, so buzz off!

So, normally I would just swing my head side to side whenever they come near me and walk faster! *grin*

That means Durian. Yummy thing that we can enjoy in the tropical country.

Dad’s durian tree has been bearing awsome durian and we get to enjoy it almost everynight for the past few day till my mom decided to sell them off in the market for good money at RM10 per KG!

I know someone will be drooling over the photo that I’m going to show here *wink*

sorry, I took the photo abit to late after everyone has wallope the rest of the fruit and left two for me!! *Grin*

Dad has tried all his mean to protect this durian tree from thiefs! Yup, we have those naughty one who came in before us and took away those durian fallen from the tree. Now that my dad already put up zinc fenches that can’t see what is in there on the ground, he can now pick all those that fallen inside the fence (at least).

I know durian got a strong smell, if you don’t like it, you’ll hate that smell and you won’t want to even go near one let alone eating it. The durian that we are having is actually those that with intense smell and sweetness (only if you like it), it is actually creamy to me. Two fruits will be enough to make me burb later and smell like durian.

I know it is being banned inside a lift and the LRT, but we ever pack it air-tight and it goes through the cargo on the flight to Hong Kong! Yup, for the sake of my sister in Hong Kong. But we definitely won’t bring it along in our luggage, that’ll get us into trouble if we do.

I feel handicap without my car. This is the 2nd day after I’ve sent it to the service centre yesterday *sigh*.

Felt so confident that it will be ready this morning, so I got my dad to send us to the service centre in order the get my car. Only to find out later that it wasn’t ready, and my dad already left! Thanks to my colleague who are willing to fetch us, else I would be stranded there. Wish it will be ready soon and return to me in tip top condition.

I’m feeding them..

Books!

Yes, I’m feeding my boys books. I still read to them every night before bed time. In fact, now a day that is the only way in getting them ready for bed, even though they might still be awake after the reading time or after half an hour! That is little Mer. He whine, sang, talked and cuddle me even though big brother Cal already in dreamland and I was half asleep!

Anyway, it was a good exercise, I mean the reading part. I got them some books from the Church library and some from the library. While they were still playing their toys and it is getting late, I would say “Would you like to read some book!?” Then they would stop and start brushing their teeth, wash their feet, pee and change for bed. In less than half an hour, they are ready and waiting, sometimes they will still be playing in their bed but once I started reading the first page of the book, they would straight away sat beside me and listen quietly, well, not quite, they would ask a few questions normally while I read. And they won’t stop if I haven’t answer them!

I hope I’m cultivating this love for reading onto these two boys and they’ll still love to read when they are grown up.

Tonight’s book is: My mum goes to work by Kes Gray and David Milgrim.

Over on Sunday

Yes, we went to the dog show after church and lunch.

Just thought of something that I should be jotting down here. The two boys followed me to the main church instead of their normal Sunday school. They just refused to stay there even when I’m going in with them. It must be from last week experience that they can stay with me. So there we go, to the main church together with a few instructions and warning that it will be boring for them and they’ll have to sit down quietly in their seats.

To me, they had been good boy, with a few noises made and one silly question “Mommy, why aren’t those jie-jie (sisters) praying?” Mer said this pointing at those teenagers behind us who didn’t shut their eyes and have their palms together while praying. Ops, whatever my answer would be, they would have heard that, so I just keep quiet. *grin*

Yup, this is the time that my 3-year-old toddler notice the different between some people, fat, short, didn’t do what we normally do, didn’t walk how we normally walk, or didn’t express what we normally would express in our faces.

Today my sister sent me this jokes about “Kids in Church”, thought I would jot down two of them here:

A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin 5, and Ryan 3.
The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake.

Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson.

‘If Jesus were sitting here, He would say,
‘Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.’
Kevin turned to his younger brother and said,
‘ Ryan , you be Jesus  !’

A father was at the beach with his children when the four-year-old son ran up to him, grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore where a seagull lay dead in the sand.
‘Daddy, what happened to him?’ the son asked.

‘He died and went to Heaven,’ the Dad replied.

The boy thought a moment and then said,
‘Did God throw him back down?’

We went to the Olde Shop (Kopitiam) in City Mall to have our lunch, little do I know that they don’t like their toast and popiah. So I had to wobble them all down by myself and ordered another plate of Udon. Yet these two boys finished that plate by themselves but with me feeding them. I just can’t get them sit on their place and finished it, instead they were all walking around on and off the chair, to the mirror near to the toilet, to the entrance of the kitchen etc. Still, I’m gladful that at least they finished that plate of Udon. Cal call it the “big muscle noodle”, as it is fat.

Well, about the dog show, it was a new thing to me, first time went to such event and we went through the area where they kept all the dogs. Nothing so fascinating about it except the husky (the snow dog) that we saw since I’ve a stroller to push, a toddler to care even though my niece was with me. Further more, later on little Mer slept in the stroller. So we went home earlier than planned. I was glad for after that it was raining cats and dogs. That basically sums up my Sunday’s morning and noon hours.

What’s the plan?

Thank God its’ Friday!!

Am planning to bring the boys for Dog Show in KDCA this Sunday. But distance become one of the concern. We live far away from Penampang, and it is a Sunday. After church, it will be around 11am, probably is a good time also. Will see.

I’ve just got a copy of Martha Steward Living magazine, October issue! I just got so curious about this woman and her line of business. I first discovered her through scrapbook, she has her own line of embellishments and tools. Just love those border punches and shape punches. Unfortunately I can’t get them over here unless I order online from the US.

I’m still at the beginning of the magazine, but I’m telling myself to wobble up every page know that it cost me RM28.80. I really hope it will brighten up my day eventhough I can’t use any of those ideas posted for the Halloween decoration. Well, maybe I can just use them for fun.

Growing up too soon

Little Cal has been wanting to play with my digital camera recently. He has been viewing almost all those photos in the memory card, he tried a few shots, the subjects are always not in the frame and they are out-focus.

Yesterday he wanted to take photos of his 3D alphabet animals, probably got this idea from mummy since I always shoot photos of my projects.
alphabet animals

Well, with a bit of help, he is really a budding photographer! *LOL*

As for little Mer, he wanted to join in the fun too and requested me to shoot a photo of his Tubberware container!

My little babies are no longer little now, they grew so much, especially little Cal, he is more than 1 metre high and thus he needs to have his own subway card while we were in Hong Kong. I remember I was struggling to carry him whenever I need to do some shopping with him. We didn’t have a proper stroller at that time, so I had to carry him all the time till he knows how to walk and run. The only stroller that we had was pretty simple and I had to borrow stroller from my sister when we went over to Sri Lanka when Cal was just over 1 year old.

Now I have one stroller left over by my sister but I seldom use it unless we are over in 1Borneo. Oh, it is not for Cal, it is for Mer as he is still little and he can fit in the stroller. He loves to sit in there too.

Now a day there are so many choices of stroller available, lightweight or for twins, some comes with the travel bag which would be very convenient to pack for travelling abroad. In a way, it keeps the stroller clean. Take a look at Maclaren stroller, they put safety and ease of use into consideration. They even have multiple colors to choose from.

If I live in a big cosmopolitan city which uses public transport a lot, surely I’ll get one for boys, one that is strong enough to fit Cal in there and comfortable enough to have little Mer sleeps inside.

When I look at Cal now, he’s lost those cuteness that you can find in toddler. He is more like a little boy now and he is way taller than his classmates! Yes, my boys are growing up too soon.

Insured

This thought came into my head: can I buy insurance for my website?

I mean those celebrities do get their butt insured, aren’t they? So what about my website? Say to insure it from spamming, fraudulent use, copyright issue, crush (just like car insurance) and lost!!

Ya, if there is, than I would gladly have my website insured *LOL*.

Probably then I don’t even need to do any backup, let the insurance company do that. Say if the Internet crush one day, I would be rich! *LOL*

Probably am getting insane for over usage of the Net, probably I’m just having this phobia now after having lost my site before, or probably just my silly self thinking now, still, it keeps me wonder.

Up and running but…

Yes, I’ve been trying to retrieve as many files as possible from my site which went down on 8th October because the hostess can’t afford to continue hosting me under her wings *so sad*. The worst thing is I only discover that the service has come to an end after my site is not accessible! That means after it is dead! Another worst thing is I don’t do backup on those postings that I’ve done! Never would have thought that a hosted site can be just gone like that!

Fortunately there is Yahoo! search which also provide to link to cache, thus I managed to retrieve my posts but not all of them. Initially my posting has reach 200 posts, now I have less than 50 in my archive *sob sob*. I’m still trying to get more at the moment.

Anyhow, it is still better than zero, right? The best thing is I get back my same domain name as I’ve registered it under my name and that service hasn’t expired yet *yippie*.

It felt so bad during those few days without my blog. Only then I know I’ve been treating this blog as my diary, the place that I use to put down all my thoughts, be it about myself, my children, my family, places that I’ve visited and things that I discover daily, and writing has been my daily habit now-a-day. It came 2nd after email. I think I’ll be depressed if I can’t get this site back and running again. It is also my income source for buying all my scrapbooking stuff! How can I live without scrapbook!? If I don’t have this extra income, it would be dreadful to dig out from my savings.

So, I’m glad, I’m really glad that it came back up and now I can keep myself updated with things and also let it serves as a reminder how what had happened in my life.

At the mean time, let me just sit back, relax (not so much since I still need to keep my job) and visit surf! Maybe I’ll just check out these hotels in las vegas nv, just to day dream!
