Trip to the small island

Monday, December 29th, 2008

We went to Hong Kong on 27th and came back on 28th. No problem with lodging as I’ve got my sister over there, though her place is small (all apartment in Hong Kong), but at least we have got company over there and the boys absolutely love to be there, especially when they can play with their cousins and their toys.

We went to the 43rd Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo in Victoria Park. While we were getting there when there were lots of walking to do, little Mer slept and have been on hubby’s shoulder most of the time.

There were lots to offer, but since we are not local and most of the stuff are more suitable for local such as cooking oil, electrical goods and food. Some how we still managed to get some Chinese medicine and Cal absolutely love the yogurt ice-cream.

Unfortunately there is no sight of scrapbook products or even rubber stamp, else I would have grab some.

After that we went to visit Hong Kong Central Library, it is huge! Not sure how many levels but sure is more than 5! No camera is allow in there, but ehemm.. I’ve sneak some. O n our way there, they boys was fascinated about the tram.

The Central Library looks like a shopping mall. Once step in, you’ll notice there is a escalator in front, and there are conveying belt on top of the ceiling for automated book return.

We only managed to go to the children library on 1st floor. They even have rooms for multimedia and toys!

Too bad that the toys’ area was full, so we didn’t have a chance to go in and let the boys play with the free toys.

Still addicted

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

My boys still whine me about letting them play with the DVD games!

Last night little Mer came up to me and ask if he can play with the games again, of course I stop him from doing so and suggested him to play with his blocks instead. I’ll have to continue stopping them in playing with the games or else they’ll not be doing anything else like enjoying the nature out there, using their creativity in building blocks and bonding time with one another.

I look through the Net about PlayStation, little do I know about this thing that has gone into the mind of so many youngsters now a day. Now they are talking about PS3 (PlayStation 3). The PS3 can play all PS2 and PlayStation games, but you’ll need an adapter for the memory cards to work on the PS3. It costs just under US$399 for one that with 60GB.

I think this would catches some men’s eyes, so if you are interested in getting one, the best is to do a search which came up with a list of PlayStation available in the market from different stores.

You might need to consider getting a cooling system to avoid overheating of your PS3. Well, good luck to all of you, but for my boys, they’ll have to wait *wink*.

Network down

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

How I wish I’ll get a laptop from Santa this Christmas, so that I can just go anywhere with Wifi and get connected to the net.

Our office network has been down for a whole day!! Something wrong with the TMnet service and they themselves also not sure what happened. *sigh*

I basically didn’t do much work today and instead I’ve made more cards for a charity drive that my colleague is involved. I’m glad for that, but I feel like I’m lost for the whole day without Internet.

Ya, all I wish for Christmas is my little laptop!

Announcing my new baby

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Yes, I know, I have too many blogs, but still I’ve added a new one with private domain. It seems like I’m abondoning the other one and hoping that this one will work its magic.

I’ll post mostly review on the new site - “Hannie daily muses” and still keeping this as it is, with the other one (The Daily) just about scrapbooking and craft.

Do check it out if you have time.

NO! It is mine!

Monday, November 10th, 2008

“Mommy, I want to see what you’ve taken [with the camera].” Even when I’ve off the light and gone to bed.

“Mommy, I want to snap this [and that].” Even when there isn’t any time for him to do that.

“Let me see, let me see.” Whenever I’ve snap something, especially them.

Yes, these are the things that my boys want. I’m so worried each time they said they wanted to snap photos themselves with my digital camera!

“No, no, no!!” I would freak out when they said they wanted to hold my camera. It is over RM1k, okay? And that is the only camera that I have now.

I’ve used it extensively ever since hubby got it for me this year. I’ve taken over thousands of photos with it and have burned 3 CDs out from it. Even that the print-shop owner said my photos are in too low resolution and it won’t be good if I want to process them in large print. The reason I save them in 3Mega Pixel is that I’m worried that I might just used up all the memories in my memory card. Furthermore I seldom process them larger than a 4R, so they still look okay in my scrapbook pages.

Well, maybe I should get another 4GB compact flash just so I can have one backup. At the mean time, let me just hide my camera out of the sight of my two boys.

That song in my head

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Mp3 playerYou know how sometimes you were listening to the radio in your car then this song that you love came on live!? The first thing I would do is to tune it louder then the next might be to sing along with it. That was fun, you know? I can just swing my head, tap my fingers and shout inside the car without people knowing, unless they look over my side.

It happened this morning that one of my favourite song came on and I was just about to get off my car. Guess what I did? *Grin* I stay in the car until the song was over *LOL*. Then throughout the day, this song keep on coming back into my head.

Sometimes I wish I have those MP3 players that I can bring anywhere I go including while I work, but I might have to refrain myself in doing the singing part *LOL*.

This is what it is

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Yes, yesterday’s post didn’t put up the real thing which was killing me, so here it is today:

charles & keith
And today I’m in my Hush Puppies black pump or court shoes with little heels. I’m actually wearing a black dress, those that I can wear to dinner *Grin* but definitely with a jacket la.. else doesn’t look professional, ehem..*wink*.

I’m in the middle of adopting a new baby. One that won’t cry when hungry, won’t wet the bed and also won’t whine at me. It is still in the process and I know I won’t have much time in taking care of it, so I’m giving up another baby, actually I’m transfering all my love into this new baby. One definite things about this baby is that it will need my love and care, but in return I know it will give me back something *wink*. Just watch out for it and I’m not annoucing it yet till it is maybe another month old, or till I”m ready to show it to the world.

Have you ever..

You know how sometimes when you go into a shopping mall, say Giant and wanted to:

1. get things fast,

2. pay for it and

3. get out of there

Unfortunately there were lots of people all of them in trolleys of things! The worst is when those barcode scanners some how just doesn’t read the things that you’ve chosen? Frustrating huh!? Then there came those sales person who tried to promote Giant City Bank credit card! You just feel like kicking their butt huh!?

Well, fortunately I didn’t have those happened on me for item 1 to 3. But I do have those promoter keep on asking if I wanted a piece of what they are offering. No thank you! I just don’t want another credit card. Yes, the offer is pretty good, no annual fees, some percentage of rebate on things that you buy from Giant and petrol stations if you use their card. But I just don’t feel like having one, so buzz off!

So, normally I would just swing my head side to side whenever they come near me and walk faster! *grin*

Handicap

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

I feel handicap without my car. This is the 2nd day after I’ve sent it to the service centre yesterday *sigh*.

Felt so confident that it will be ready this morning, so I got my dad to send us to the service centre in order the get my car. Only to find out later that it wasn’t ready, and my dad already left! Thanks to my colleague who are willing to fetch us, else I would be stranded there. Wish it will be ready soon and return to me in tip top condition.

Insured

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008

This thought came into my head: can I buy insurance for my website?

I mean those celebrities do get their butt insured, aren’t they? So what about my website? Say to insure it from spamming, fraudulent use, copyright issue, crush (just like car insurance) and lost!!

Ya, if there is, than I would gladly have my website insured *LOL*.

Probably then I don’t even need to do any backup, let the insurance company do that. Say if the Internet crush one day, I would be rich! *LOL*

Probably am getting insane for over usage of the Net, probably I’m just having this phobia now after having lost my site before, or probably just my silly self thinking now, still, it keeps me wonder.
