What had happened

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

It was Cal’s 2nd day to school yesterday, they are having their orientation for a week. So for this week, he’ll be home from school as early as 10am. I’ve got him new books for this year, new school uniforms and finally his bag. Buoy this guy grow up so fast and needed new pair of uniform. Soon I’ll need to get him new shoes! He is also the tallest in his class.

When I look at him, he seems so out of place in his class and he is the last in line because of his height.

Cal in school

As for little Mer, he was happy that he can tag along with mommy to big brother’s school. One thing he was looking forward to is the little playground there. However we don’t have much time to do that, further more it was already school hour, so no access into it.

Probably due to the holiday enjoyment that he had, he still being grumpy in getting to school. He refused to change to his school uniforms, he refused to get into the car but somehow at the end, he got in the car but cried when I dropped him off at school.

Well, this mommy needs to give some bribe just to sooth him. This is the proof from yesterday on our way home:

juice time

On top of that, he requested to have Vitagen. Since he has asked way earlier before I passed the mall, so there he was claiming his Vitagen from the freezer.

As for the night while I was just a few steps away from them, they started a fight over some crackers. They were watching one of their favorite cartoon, something about a little boy investigator. When I punished them to stand, they still want to watch the TV and tried to get to where they can watch it. So what I did was to ask them to hug each other so that they can be forgiven. Here they were hugging each other and the eyes still fix on the TV *LOL*.

punishment

Well, maybe I should encourage them more on hugging each other and set rules for letting them to play alone.

The day after 2nd

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

Yes, on the 3rd of Jan, we spent it with breakfast and some shopping, mainly to get some food for breakfast the next day. We went to Jusco in Coastal City. It is a posh area with expensive clothing line. So, basically we didn’t get anything for clothes.

As we walked in from one of the entrance, we were greeted by a big standing dog. The boys took the chance to take some pictures. It was just Hush Puppies doing some promotion on their shoes.

The next thing we did was to wait for a table to have our Dim Sum in one of the nicely decorated Chinese restaurant that is full with crystals.

Posh restaurant

It was weekend and like most part of China, there were full of people waiting in line, after maybe half an hour later, we got a table and started our late breakfast. The boys like usual can’t sit still after some bite. They noticed the decoration too and Cal requested to have his photo taken with the lighted beam with Chinese characters.

After that was a brief walk around that area and saw this huge theater in round building, these were taken just outside of Coastal City before we went in to have a cup of drink.

Both of them love Snoopy especially little Mer. So when I pointed to them these two figures in front of Charlie Brown Cafe, they couldn’t take their hands off Snoopy!

Went into Jusco after that and noticed that they are having sales up to 70% on certain items. However none that suits me especially when they are offering winter clothing now.  I wanted to get maybe some make up or sunblock, but just couldn’t slow  myself down with two boys attaching to me, even if I saw a nice necklace or accessory.

Hubby went off to get some food while we waited in a beverage store inside Jusco. At that time, Mer was just too tired  and couldn’t be bother with his surroundings and went to sleep on there on the chair without even looking for his milk. *wink*

Well, that was what happened on the 3rd.

Time flies

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

It has just past Christmas and tomorrow is the new year of 2009, time flies! Chinese New Year will be less than a month away! Isn’t it fast?

This vacation just past by so fast that I started to miss it already. I mean I’ve been enjoying the time over here, doing pretty much nothing but cooking, taking care of the kids, getting online, watching TV and sometimes go out for a walk before lunch time. Plus I get to see the bored faces of my boys *LOL*.

We are already planning if we should go to stay one night or two in the local hotel or resorts, just to have a short get away. Not a long one as home is where we want to be, nothing like Vegas vacations or those that need to take the plane. Maybe a trip to the island too if my sister and family are going. Other than having dinner with family members and do visiting to relatives and friends’ home, the rest of the time, I think I would spend more time with kids and hubby.

Oh ya.. surely hope to do some scrapbook and cards.

An early Happy New Year to everyone!!

Trip to the small island - part 2

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

Well, the story didn’t there on my previous posting.

After going to the Central Library, we went to have our Japanese food dinner in ..err.. I forgot the place, but only got the photo:

p1020597

It is actually occupying one whole street! Imagine, in Hong Kong, the shops are really expensive in rental, and yet this boss got two rolls of shop lots as his Japanese Food Shop! I’m amazed. It looks like a little Japan over there.

p1020598

We have actually booked our table just to make sure we’ve got seats. They offer some games too.

p1020613

Cal had a try on that, but of course he can’t get the top block to land on the one below after hitting away the middle one. It seems easy, but none of us can do it. It just need skills and maybe some help with linear motion, or whatever you call that.

While we were stuffing ourselves with yummy sushi, a “balloon man” came in to show off his skills in twisting belons into some figurine. The boys were amazed and Mer got his sword first. After some waiting game, then only Cal got his plane.

p1020610

Just look at how happy he is.

We stayed a night in my sister’s place then only taking the train and bus and taxi home. While on the ride, little Mer fell asleep again and being carried all the way by hubby even passing the immigration. I took a blurry photo in the train from Hong Kong from the reflection on the window, which is the only way to capture all of us in one photo. Even Cal was also slept in the train after that.

p1020620

Well, that’s much about our trip to Hong Kong. Will probably do that again next year which is only a day away.

Boxing day

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Right after Christmas, on Boxing day, it was still a working day for hubby, so that night after he was home from work, we went out to have dinner in Ajisen, but the boys didn’t have their afternoon nap and when we got there by bus, Mer already been sleeping, so he slept all the while when we were having our dinner. Maybe it is a good thing too, as Cal can sit still and have his bowl of Lamian.

After we had done with our dinner, Mer woke up right when we stepped out of Ajisen! He has been doing that when we went to Hong Kong the next day, will talk more about that later. So we had to bring him elsewhere so that he can have some food. We went into McD.

p1020534

After that was more photo taking day with all the lighting and Christmas decoration that they haven’t taken off. But Cal has been putting up funny faces whenever we wanted to take his photo, still there are some that has been taken nicely.

Almost all the shops are on sale now, but none that I find is suitable for me to wear back in Malaysia. They are all selling warm clothing or winter clothing now. Even if there are shoes that suitable, they are still too expensive even after 50% discount, from maybe RMB800 a pair! So forget about buying things.

All these photos were taken at the same place in Shekou, Shenzhen.

Early Christimas

Thursday, December 25th, 2008

Look nice? These are ours presents. No Christmas tree to put under, so they were kept in the room, always hold by the boys wanting to open them.
p1020481

We actually did wait till Christmas day to open our presents, the boys just can’t wait till the next morning, so we have an early Christmas day on Christmas eve itself!
Here, Mer can’t wait to get his present open, give by Uncle Alex

p1020485

There, that is what inside. They both have similar presents from Uncle Alex, Thanks! Cal took the effort to assemble his toy till late night and continue the next morning. The first thing in the morning!

p1020488

Here, Mer telling Cal what to do and not to do with his present!

p1020505

Next is hubby, opening a surprise from me *grin*. The next thing was he ask how much is it.. ciss! It is a t-shirt with 60% discount! *LOL*

p1020507

There, the aftermath.

p1020510

Merry Christmas!

Oh ya.. what do I get? 3 bars of chocolate!! Now only left one bar *grin*.

edited: They not only getting presents from Uncle Alex of course. They got books from mummy, remote control mini cars from daddy, two more toy cars from Szeto YiYi. Plus something else waiting for them in Sabah when they got back, which are from Rebecca YiYi. *grin*

Merry Christmas!

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

May the world know the true meaning of Christmas.

“Now to the king eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. 1 Timonthy 1:17 NIV.”

Some updates

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

It is already 1:30pm, and the boys are not having their afternoon nap yet. Let’s just get recorded on things that I wanted to put into my December daily.

Yesterday: Brought them out to the playground twice. It is just too bored to stay indoor only for all of us, but is was cold out there and today is even colder, so today we haven’t step out from the apartment yet.

p1020465 p1020467

As for this morning, they have been good but did something dangerous as Cal climbed out from the windows between the rooms and climbed into the other room from the window! I’ve warned them about that but never though that he would do that! So I got them to promise me again for not to do that again ever!

Like usual Cal knows how to get into pbskids to play games, so they were on the computer almost all the time.
p1020472

Had some apples for them and apple is Mer’s favourite fruit. Here he pose for the camera without looking at it.
p1020469
ok, got to get them to sleep

officially..

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Yup, we have arrived safely in Shenzhen and my life as a full-time mom, cum maid, cum cook has officially started. It doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy it and it also doesn’t mean that I’ll be cooking 24/7 or every night.

Yesterday we arrived almost half an hour early with Air Asia direct from KKIA T2. Our flight was at 9:25am. Arrived just before 8am and there were many people checking in, though there were two counters operating for check-in AK552 but it still took me half an hour to get to my turn.

We have bought the express boarding pass earlier on but there were around 30 people with that pass! After getting my hand luggage, we straight go to the departure hall and past the immigration. While buying some sweets the boys need to go to toilet and right after that is boarding time. We had to rush in order to get a good seats. Thank God that the boys walked by themselves all the way to the plane!

After settling them in, the rest of the passengers were getting on board. Fortunately there were some nice people sitting in the front role which doesn’t mind about the boys being noisy and some times pushed the chairs. Later on along the journey, we made friends which actually a mother with two daughters going to Shenzhen for vacation together with another family. We have actually exchanged emails!

on board

Right before touched down, little Mer slept! So I had to carry him all the way till immigration and while claiming our bag, he woke up, thank God. Went out to meet hubby and went for our lunch straight in Cafe De Coral some walking distance away.

lunch

As for the night, we went out to enjoy some Christmas deco while having our dinner in Papa John’s.

p1020441 p1020445

As for today, my official duty has started, so far so good. First was to prepare breakfast for them, the next thing was to bring to the playground nearby which was damn cool out there. I hope they won’t catch any cold over here and be able to enjoy the stays. Tonight’s dinner is A1 Bakuteh, packet brought over from home *grin*.

Dreadful and wonderful

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

It was a dreadful bed time even when I was doing the routine: bath, brush teeth, read a book  or some pages, off the light, milk, then said goodnight. And the boys were still wide awake and playing with each other! They always drag their bedtime half an hour late after I’ve put them into bed. Fortunately it is their holiday season.

As for this morning they refused to be seperated. Normally I would sent Mer to the baby sitter and leave Cal at home with my parents. They would just cause too much trouble if stay together, they’ll either fight or stumble upon things that they are not suppose to.

Cal woke up asking if Mer going to school, then he suggested him to stay home with him. Once Mer heard that, he follows what the big brother suggested and refuse to get into the car. Fortunately my mom is ok with the two of them staying at home, of course after seeing their pittiful faces begging to be together and kept on promissing that they’ll be good.

I told them sternlythat  if they get into trouble I’ll have to send one of them to the babysitter. However, secretly I’m happy that they love to be with each other *wink*.
