Server down

Monday, August 4th, 2008

Had been quiet in my blog due to my own server, I mean this body of mine was on strike! It didn’t function as it should be, maybe I have been treating it badly with late night sleep, no exercise and maybe just too much meat. I was down for a few days, the worst was Tuesday, I basically spent my whole day laying in bed feeding myself with only porridge, some oat meal and plenty of water. But I still ended up with dried chipped lips! Chronogically, Monday went for Doctor’s appointment as mentioned in the earlier post. The trouble began on that afternoon. Feeling wick, no appetite, need to just lay down, no energy to talk.Tuesday, I slept the whole day, ate only some porridge, oat meal and water. Finally managed to get myself to see doctor in the late afternoon. Brought home some pain killers, flu medicine and anti-vomit medicine, plus 3 days medical leave. Had an early night. Wednesday, was feeling much better and can even brought my mom to the salon to have her hair permed and I got myself a hair wash! *grin*. Thursday was Cal’s school annual sport day. Already planned for taking half day off. Little Mer tag along. Nothing much, Cal only involved with the marching which every kids are in, then he was in one of the game to match things up on a made-up tree. That’s it! But I wasn’t feeling well then and went home barely with any energy, struggling to drive home too. Fortunately mom gave me some miracle. It is something call 熊膽皮 (xiong dan pi), a kind of dried fruits, taken after letting it difused in hot water. If your body is hot (or in Chinese term - heaty), then it will taste like plain water, else it will very bitter. I drank a cup of it without sweat, as it just tasted like plain water! But an hour later when I drank it again, buoy! I was really bitter that I can’t even finish half a cup! I can imagine how hot my body was at that time. I let Cal drank some too and he too said that it just tasted like plain water! I better becareful on things to give him, he always needs lots of water. After that miracle drinks, I was fine and even feel hungry! Which is a good sign. Came Friday, I drag myself up and got ready to work. I was lazy then after resting so many days at home.

Weekend

It has been a great weekend of traveling and got crazy with lots of kids around.

My sis and gang came for their vacation, all the way from Hong Kong, all 10 of them includes 4 children safely touched down on Friday evening. It took us two cars to load them all and got them to The Village Restaurant (Kampung Nelayan) in Tun Fuad Park for dinner. All 3 tables of us!

Since I was still feeling a bit sick, the food to me doesn’t really taste nice and I stop myself from taking the fried crab and tried to drink as much water as possible. The boys were having lots of fun! After dinner was their running and giggle time. So happy to see their cousins. Although they don’t share the same language but still they play together! *LOL*  They had a blast! Fortunately didn’t bump into any of the waiter with food on their hands.

After dinner was to checked them in to their hotel in Karambunai. I managed to get them an offer price room rate with see view! Had our welcoming drinks in the pub, fruit punch! Yummy! It really soothe my throat (maybe I’l have some more over lunch later).

The day after (Saturday) were their island trip which I definitely can’t go. So I’ve stayed and brought the boys for their swim class. Little Cal has been making progress. His hands and legs are coordinating now is doing frog style, just have to make more improvement on the breath taking part. As for little Mer, he is totally into it and not afraid of jumping into the water now.

Yesterday was a day filled up with lots of driving. All of us had a blast getting to the Kinabalu National Park with 4 cars! It has been a long time since my last visit to the national park. There have been much changes on the side-walk in the park, they are building walk ways and maybe resealing the road. Thank God we have a clear weather and the mountain is clearly visible.

As for little Mer, he enjoyed the company of the little sister from Hong Kong, didn’t mind at all in holding her hand and just follow her around. It is just so sweet to see sight like this.

Little Cal being so sweet being a big brother to little Roy leading him up the hill in the park.

The crazy fun gang.

After visiting the Kinabalu National Park, we headed off to my uncle’s place in Kundasang for lunch. We all had to climbed up the steep hill before reaching the house, everyone was out of breadth of the climb! *LOL*
The Hong Kong gang then proceeded to Poring Hot Spring but some of us stayed in uncle’s house for some quiet moment then headed home.

It was a fun filled day and exshuated one. The boys slept through during the journey home. With all these excitedment going on, I think I would have updated my blog right away once I got home if I have internet connection and maybe even can hide myself in the room to do that with a wireless router.
