BD wishes and mumbling

Hubby’s Birthday today, Happy Birthday Dear!! *muah!!* (Ya, we are the same age now till July *grin*)

I’ve been getting myself busy with challenges over the net on scrapbooking and at the same time wanted to play with all those stash that I have, I don’t think I’m having enough sleep. I’m also dying to have a holiday, maybe a day leave or so. Now then hubby is coming back this Saturday, I’ll safe the leave till next Monday. At the mean time, let me dunk myself into the scrapbook world and let myself get carried away by it. Hopefully I don’t need any acne treatment later seeing that my skin hasn’t got enough rest and I haven’t been for facial. Oh, and my fine lines are showing, okay, not fine lines but real wrinkles!!

Let’s just say “age is just a number” several times and hypnotise myself that I don’t have any wrinkles around my eyes, I don’t have eye-bags, I have a great figure and I don’t have grey hair! There, hope it works.

Going through my wardrobe

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

Well, actually I don’t have a wardrobe at the moment, I let my clothes just hang on the self-made-clothes-hanger. Not sure if you know what I mean but it is basically open, no doors, no drawer, just iron bar. Now, you see my room is not my room actually, because I’m staying in my mom’s place and I treat it as a temporary shelter (which I’ve been there for more than 2 years now! gosh!), until my husband move back here then we’ll move into our own house which is renting out now. On other occasion when hubby is back (which the next trip is this Saturday), then I’ll need to pack some clothes and move back to my in-laws’ home (which is half hubby’s home).

Coming back about my open wardrobe, it is actually given by my brother, John, which he used when he was working in Sipitang (now he is in Brunei). So I’ve got almost all my clothes there except my maternity clothes. Those were all kept in my in-laws’ home. We still have the room available there, dusty now that we are not staying there, but it is the master bedroom with all the convenient of an ensuit bathroom. I remember when I had my confinement month there, it was just so convenient, I don’t need to step out from the room to get into the toilet. But one thing is that I still prefer single storey house just like my mom’s home. Unfortunately the house I owe is double storey, it is just so hard to get a single storey house now without having to build a hole in the bank account.

Until we move to our new home, then only I can have my own decent wardrobe, or mayba even a walk-in-wardrobe (huh hon? *wink*). So at the moment, let me treasure the convenient of seeing all my clothes in one glance.

Room rate

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

About the visit to Karambunai yesterday, actually my sister and friends stayed there with a special room rate that I got for them. How I wish there are many other offer such as this that allow us to have discount. Other than the government rate that I can get, there are other offer such as the discount that members get from holding certain banks’ VISA or MASTER card. We were even hoping that we can get a special deal and ask if they prefer any credit card company. However, to our dissapointment, none of us holding City Bank Visa Card. *sigh*

Normally when we travel, we’ll look for special discount or cheap hotels. Don’t be surprise that some hotels offer local rates which are so much different than the travelers or international rate. That’s why my sister who comes back from Hong Kong for visit will always get us to book the hotel room for her. The difference can go up to RM100!

Those of you who are in the U.S, Canada or Europe are much luckier that you have some sites that offer prices comparison and even book the room for you, such as Shermans Travel, they even do hotels reviews! Shermans Travel - Your guide to deals and destinations
