Tomorrow is the start

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

Yup, tomorrow is the start of the long weekend for us all in Sabah, yay!!

KOTOBIAN TADAU TAGAZO DO KAAMATAN

I was being told by my colleague that I look like a unduk ngadau..*LOL* neh.. NOT. It is because I’m having my hair up today and probably she is just kidding, or maybe I could really be one huh? Mrs unduk ngadau?

Neh.. I’m just kidding..

Do you have the look?

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

I like watching “American Next Top Model”, it gives me a sight of what really modeling is about, plus all those bitchiness they have in a reality show. It also explains what are the things that you need to know as a model, most importantly it looks real to me. If I’m 5′8″ and have sharp features with the right figure, maybe I would go for it.

Look at our local girl Amber Chia, she is from Sabah and yet made it to the modeling world, must be earning big bucks. However nothing comes easily and I’m sure she needs to work, learn and relearn new things everyday.

Another show that I love to watch is “Kimora: life in the fab lane”. Yes, this is one working mom cum model cum owner of jewelery stores! Seeing how she lives and how funny she can be is fun to me. I’m not sure, maybe part of the show is made up, but I’m seeing it as an entertainment rather than an educational documentary. I’m a mother myself, so sometimes I dream that I can be that glamorous and living a life that I can almost have it all.

For those of you who doesn’t mind having your look being judged and wanted to step into the modeling world, you can join Look of the year, which is now looking for people around the world to submit their best pictures. As long as you are young, beautiful and who would like to be a model, I don’t see why you should loose the chance to get spotted and maybe able to work in a renounce modeling agency. It looks like a beuty contest though, I hope they are looking for brains and beauty.

Development of Cal’s feelings

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

First thing when Cal woke up this morning is to ask where will his little brother be today. After hearing that I’ll bring little Mer to the babysitter, he straight jumped on his feet and run to the car, sat there till I say that he can follow.

I suppose Cal knows of the feelings of loneliness now that he wanted to stay with his brother no matter what and no matter where. After a day at home with his brother, I think he likes it and wanted to stick to each other. It is a good news to me ‘cos he wanted to be with the brother but after a long day at home with my two boys, my mom was exhausted and worst is she didn’t catch any sleep. So today I’m letting the idea off and have sent little Mer to babysitter’s place.

After much persuasion and bribe with goodies, finally Cal agree to stay at home with my parents. Fortunately there wasn’t much whining from Mer on the way to babysitter.

What I saw in Semporna

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Here, this is going to be an all photos blog post, with caption of course.

This is where we stayed - Seafest Hotel.

View from the hotel front.

Sunset taken from the hotel.

The day after, I was caught up with meeting, so didn’t go anywhere, but I
managed to visit the local pearl store.

This is where we go to get our pearl.

See all those glittering stuff? Sorry, it was getting dark then..

Did I get anything for myself? Of course! A pearl bracelet and earrings.
*Grin*

We get to visit Sipadan Island the day after. More photos..

Some other island that we saw on our way to Sipadan

Sipandan Island from afar after more than 30 minutes boat ride.

Relief to be able to stand on the ground again.

Left side view of Sipadan island right from the jetty.

Right side view of Sipadan island right from the jetty.

We tour around the island in an hour.

Sea-turtle hatching site. It normally takes 45 days for the little turtle to
come out from the eggs, then they’ll only be release to the sea at night, to
avoid being eaten from predator.

Little sea turtle which was born just that morning at 6am (23th May).

After the walk around the island, it was time to head back to our hotel. We
took a different path back to see other interesting places / island around.

Since visitors are not allow to over-night in Sipadan Island, they’ll
have to go elsewhere to stay. Divers can’t fly straight away from the dive
too due to the pressure difference.

Kapalai Resort with lots of star fishes on its water.

Mabul Resort, just beside Kapalai.

Another resort nearby.

Sand Island which doesn’t have trees initially.

My health condition

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

Just had my blood pressure measure with a self-help machine, small and handy, just need two AAA batteries. The result? 113/69. As for weight, I’m 56 kg. I thought I have loose some weight after the trip, but I stay the same *grin*.

56kg to me is still a little big lighter than I want, I should be 58 kg to look a bit chubby. As for now, I don’t need these diet pills reviews . It is good for those who needed a diet though. To me, I’ll go for exercise and maintain a good diet rather than going for the pill. Maybe the diet pills are for those who are obese and really hard to get rid of their fat.My heart beat is no so ideal, is it higher than 75 which indicating that I’m having a weak heart, really need to start doing those brisk walk.

John will be leaving to Brunei

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

Get to know that my brother, John will be going to work in Brunei. Not a really good news to us all, although he is getting a job now with better pay, but he won’t be around and will only be coming home once a month.
We have been discussing about building our new house, now then he is going away to work, I guess that will have to wait again. *sigh*
How I wish we all can move in to a new house by next year, have our own beautiful garden. Yup, I’m starting to dream again. I would really love to have a patio to sit and just relax, maybe with some teak patio furniture. A place that I can spend some quiet moment reading my magazine, having my afternoon tea maybe.
Well, now that he’ll be going away (again), I’ll just have to stick to my own old furniture. *sigh*
On top of that, no surprises on what’s cooking now. John is a person who loves to cook and experience new food. Going to miss him (especially the food *grin*).

The health centre

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Still here, my one hour is not up yet, so might as well write another post before I’m disconnected from the net.

I’m sharing a room with my colleague who runs on the machine almost everyday. So I’ve promised her to check out the health centre here (Seafest Hotel). They got a few machine including those weight machine, but there doesn’t seems a lot of people using them. Right before we came down last night, there were a man there but he doesn’t look like a body builder for us, which obviously are not taking bodybuilding supplements, so we are really not going to embarrase ourselves if we would to use the machines here. However, I don’t have my running shoes and extra clothes for exercise, so Mary is the only one using the health centre last night. All hers *LOL*

As for me, I was trying to get myself connected to the Net by using my handphone, but the line connection here is very low, sometimes down to zero. I really wish it could be better so that I can talk to my boys longer. I wonder if they miss their mommy..

Away in Semporna

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Am here, really here in Seafest Hotel of Semporna accessing the Net using their business centre’s internet service. I wasn’t happy with the speed though, because they are charging RM8.40 an hour! And it is not even broadband. But at least I’m connected and am surfing away. I noly allow myself an hour on this. So let’s just make things fast here.

I’ve a complain now so far, that is: I need a massage therapy! I can feel that my head is heavy probably due to the new bed that I’m not used to it and I hope tonight I can sleep better since it is the second night now. I wish they are offering massage service here. But what do you expect? They even charge for their health centre. RM5.50 per session! And this business centre only open till 5 pm.!!

As for tomorrow, we’ll be going to the Mabul Island! Yay!! I hope the weather is fine and no storm, else we’ll have to cancel our trip.
